2022? The story is up to YOU!

Happy New Year! We survived 2021 -- and we're about to enter the year of the tiger.

If there's one thing I know about cats, it is that they decide how they are going to meet life. They know how to be totally alert. They know when to totally relax. They are tenacious hunters. They know how to mark their territory -- and their humans!

They also know how to use their voice. A cat has more than 100 different vocalisations (that's 90 more than the dog!). Cats begin purring shortly after being born, but that's on the beginning. Scientists tell us they developed meowing in order to communicate with us. (and, oh boy, do they!)

So let's take a leaf out the big cat's book as we step into this new year --
 

• there we be even MORE change and turbulence
• there will be even MORE chances to question what's really important
• there will be even MORE opportunity to choose who you want to be in the face of what you meet in the world

-- WE can decide how we meet it.

We can fall apart alone or we can lean in together. It all depends on the stories we decide to tell, the stories we pay attention to, and the stories we decide to believe.

Story is your greatest ally in these times of change. There's never been a more compelling time to get good at it.

Let's all tell better stories so we all live a better life!
