The "Make It Right" button

learning edge makes me think stories from the journey Dec 21, 2025

This week when I popped into the grocery store I found a crowd got there before me. The lines were so long for the self check out that I joined one of the ordinary checkout lines.

We inched along and I finally saw why. The cashier was a much older man, but obviously new at the job. He was turning every product all around just to find the barcode.

He rang up one item for me that showed a different price than I expected and his colleague came over to help him figure out how to delete the first price and replace it with the right one.

Then I heard her say:

"When you finish that part, you go here on the screen and click on the "MAKE IT RIGHT" button." I was stunned. There's actually such a thing as a "make it right" button in real life!

Imagine what that could mean for your life and for the world. Maybe it's time to exercise our power of imagination and begin to click that "make it right" button more often.
